Injuries during athletic events are very common..At Kathalynas Spine Sport & Rehab, we strive to get athletes back to the sport that they love as quickly as possible or help them to be able to continue playing while injured.

Sports massage is especially effective for the treatment of delayed-onset muscle soreness (pain that developes several hours after exercise). Incorporating massage into an existing workout or conditioning program speeds up recovery times between sessions and can prevent the occurrence of conditions that may cause injury.

Some common injuries we treat are ankle sprains, knee and hip pain, shoulder impingement and Osgood Schlatter which is an inflammation of the patellar ligament characterized by a painful bump just below the knee that is worse with activity and better with rest.

A massage regiment improves circulation to the injured area and allows athletes to heal faster. Massage also increases flexibility and the range of motion of athletes, reducing the occurrence of injuries.
