Chiropractic Joint Manipulation
A chiropractic adjustment, also referred to as manual manipulation or spinal manipulation, is a non-invasive method in which trained specialists (chiropractors) manipulate joints with their hands, or sometimes with instrument assistance. The goal of spinal manipulation is to increase range of motion, reduce pain, and improve your body’s physical function. Most chiropractors perform adjustments of the spine and pelvis as a routine part of treatment, but if needed, they can also adjust knees, feet, wrists, and other joints of the body.
Our physicians will utilize evidence-based methods to address any improper joint motion that interferes with your overall quality of movement, which can lead to pain and/or a wide variety of physical ailments. Many common conditions can be treated with chiropractic manipulation, such as pain, loss of range of motion, and neuromuscular disorders. Chiropractic manipulation can also be used to improve athletic performance. Regular or multiple visits may be required to get the desired results.
